Frequently Asked Questions

Scheduling a Session

If you’re interested in working together, please use the scheduling widget or head over to the Contact Me Page and fill out the form submission to schedule a free phone consultation. This brief phone call allows us to chat about what you're looking for and see if we’re a good fit.

How Are Sessions Offered?

I offer in-person sessions in Ventura and online therapy throughout California through a HIPAA-compliant and secure platform.

What Will Therapy Look Like?

My approach is flexible and collaborative, tailored to your unique experiences, values, and goals. For some, therapy is a space to process loss and make sense of difficult emotions. For others, it’s about learning strategies to manage anxiety, depression, or the mental toll of chronic illness. No matter where you are, we’ll work together to create a path that feels supportive and sustainable.

Financial Investment

Therapy is a commitment—not just financially, but to your own well-being. I strive to make this investment feel meaningful, valuable, and sustainable for you.

Insurance Benefits

I can provide in-network services for those with Cigna/Evernorth and Aetna plans . If you have a different insurance provider, I can provide a superbill for reimbursement based on your out-of-network benefits. I recommend checking with your insurance company to confirm coverage.

Private Pay

Initial Intake Sessions (75 minutes): $225

Standard Follow-up Sessions (50 minutes): $180

Extended Follow-up Sessions (90 minutes): $270

If finances are a concern, please reach out. I offer a limited number of reduced-fee spots based on need and am happy to discuss what might be possible.

Why Private Pay?

Paying privately for therapy offers flexibility and privacy that insurance often cannot:

✔ More privacy – Your records aren’t shared with insurance companies.
✔ No diagnosis required – Therapy is for your needs, not insurance requirements.
✔ Flexibility & personalization – No session limits or restrictions.

Cancellation Policy

Life happens, and I understand that plans can change. Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule a session. Late cancellations or missed appointments without prior notice will be charged the full session fee.

Notice of Good Faith Estimate

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare service, including psychotherapy services. You can ask your healthcare provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, please visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
